Game Preview
Luka is out, which was felt immediately, with the Mavs losing to the mediocre Portland Trail Blazers, 126-122. Now, the problem in this one wasn’t on the offensive side of the ball but rather on defense.
Kyrie filled in for Luka perfectly, with Uncle Drew scoring 46 points and showing all his talent. But simply, Dallas played awful defense, and besides that, controlled the glass poorly, having 40 boards, 10 fewer than the rivals.
It seems that Mike D’Anthony will come to Sacramento to replace Mike Brown, though that’s still not certain. Many big names have criticized the Kings’ decision to fire Brown, and it seems that this is yet another poor move by Sacramento’s management.
The Kings score 114.7 points per game. De’Aaron Fox delivers 26.2 buckets each night and is this unit’s primary attacking weapon.
Mavericks vs. Kings Head-to-Head
This is the first of three contests this year between the Mavs and the Kings.
Mavericks vs. Kings Prediction
Kings have a nice chance to stabilize a little bit and bounce back following all the problems experienced over the previous two weeks. They have six straight losses including Saturday’s against the Lakers, and having Luka-less Mavs at home should be enough for them to triumph.
