Fight Preview
Anthony Joshua will be looking to get back on the title trail in the middle of August, as the former heavyweight champion returns to the ring to take on former foe Dillian Whyte. It is a must-win bout for both Brits, with retirement a distinct possibility for the fighter that comes out on the losing side.
This will be the third time that the heavyweights have clashed during their career, with Whyte landing victory back in 2009 when they met as amateurs. However, Joshua avenged that loss in style when the stars clashed for the first time as professionals in 2015, as AJ scored a stunning seventh-round knockout at the O2.

Both Joshua and Whyte come into this third fight with huge pressure on their shoulders. Whyte recently lost his heavyweight championship showdown with Tyson Fury, while Joshua lost back-to-back fights against Oleksandr Usky. AJ did bounce back to winning ways against Jermaine Franklin, but it wasnโt the most inspiring display.
The stakes will be huge for both fights in London at the O2, with the losing fighter likely to seriously consider retirement. However, the winner could emerge as a realistic title contender once again, with AJ already planning ahead with a potential showdown against Deontay Wilder set for the middle of December.
Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte Prediction
This is a fascinating battle between two great heavyweight rivals. Joshua should be favorite for victory, but he is massively too short in our opinion. Whyte was disappointing against Fury last year, but his battle-hardened core could make him very dangerous against a vulnerable AJ.
