Fight Preview
Katie Taylor will be on the comeback trail later this year, as the two-weight and currently undisputed lightweight queen looks to avenge her first professional defeat, which was suffered earlier in 2023. Taylor has made history throughout her career, including becoming one of just eight boxers in history to hold all four major boxing titles simultaneously.
However, her perfect professional record ended in front of her home fans in Dublin in May, as she suffered a shock majority decision defeat against Cameron at the 3Arena. Few predicted that outcome in the bout, but in truth, the English boxer looked relatively comfortable throughout the bout.

There’s little denying that the victory was the biggest of Cameron’s career to date, and it saw her improve her professional record to 18-0. The English star had held the WBC title since 2020, and the WBA and IBO light welterweight titles since 2022 before the unification in Dublin. She is also a two-weight world champion, having previously held the lightweight IBO title between 2017 and 2019.
The rematch between the pair will be among the biggest boxing fights to have ever been staged, and it will be the third time overall that they have clashed. Taylor gained an early advantage over her rival, having landed amateur success at the 2011 EU Championships at the semi-final stage.
Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron Prediction
There’s little doubt that this rematch will be among the biggest to have been staged in the women’s sport. But, we could see Taylor gaining her revenge and getting back on track with a dominant win over her English rival.
