Fascinating action in the boxing ring is set for the end of the calendar year, as Devin Haney steps into the super lightweight division for the first time. The American has been one of the most dominant fighters in the lightweight division throughout his career, and he retains the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles.
Haney was last in action in May 2023, as he scored a unanimous decision victory over the highly-regarded Vasily Lomachenko in Las Vegas. That victory saw his professional record improve to 30-0, with half of his victories coming by knockout. This certainly appears to be the right time to step up, as he has defeated all major contenders in the lightweight division.

This certainly wonโt be an easy transition into the higher weight class, as the American will come up against one of the biggest stars in the super lightweight division. Prograis is currently ranked as the worldโs best super lightweight by BoxRec, TBRB, and The Ring.
Prograis has won 29 of his 30 professional bouts, with his only defeat coming against Josh Taylor in October 2019 when challenging for the welterweight title. Since then, he has won each of his previous fight bouts. He won the WBC light welterweight title in November 2022 with a stunning KO win over Jose Zepeda, before defending the title in June with a decision win over Danielito Zorrilla.
