Event Preview
Historic action takes place on the European Tour this weekend, as the first event to be staged in Japan takes place at Ishioka Golf Club. It is only the second time that this competition has been staged, with last year’s event being sanctioned by the Japan Golf Tour.
In last year’s edition, Yuto Katsuragawa landed victory. However, there will be heightened interest in the player that finished second in the event this time around. Rikuya Hoshino certainly appears to be the leading contender for the home team this weekend, and he certainly boasts course experience that few other players in the field can match.

Rasmus Hojgaard is a deserving favorite for the event this weekend, but it could be worth taking on the Dane as he hasn’t won an event for over two years. Hi recent form on the European Tour coming into this event is strong, including his tie for sixth at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship at the beginning of February.
Chan Kim looks a player at a bigger price that could out-perform his odds this weekend, as he strikes at an impressive 10% in events played in Japan. He also comes into this weekend’s event with previous course form, as he finished second in the Heiwa PGM Championship late last year.
ISPS Handa Championship Predictions
Kim is a player that we will be keen to take a chance on at massive odds this weekend. However, we also like the chances of Jorge Campillo. He was a victor in his previous effort in Kenya, and his form throughout this year has been too consistent to resist a little bet at +4000.
