Event Preview
The PGA Tour action continues this weekend, as the FedEx St. Jude Championship is staged at TPC Southwind. This event was played annually between 1958 and 2018 at Southwind, before being relocated in the 2019 season. However, it returns to its typical home this year and will be staged in August for the first time. John Cook holds the tournament record score, as he finished 26-under when landing victory in 1996.
Dustin Johnson claimed a second victory at the event last year, but the American will not be competing at the event this year. In fact, none of the top three players in the betting have previously finished in the top two at this event on the PGA Tour. However, Scottie Scheffler looks like a strong favorite in the betting after winning twice in 20 appearances this season. Meanwhile, he has finished in the top ten on 15 occasions this term.

Meanwhile, there is a strong case to be made that Rory McIlroy offers value at the top of the betting after winning twice from 15 appearances. He has also finished second on two further occasions, and has finished in the top ten on 15 occasions this term.
However, it could pay to side with players that have shown signs of a resurgence in recent months. Jason Day certainly fits that bill, as he landed victory a couple of months ago, and will be looking to follow up after a strong performance at the Travelers Championship. He could offer value at a big price this weekend.

We are looking at value in the betting this weekend, and two players that we like at prices are Max Home and Rickie Fowler. The latter has an excellent record at this course after finishing in the top 15 in two from four appearances. Meanwhile, Homa could present value after a career-best appearance at a Major when landing a first top ten finish at The Open.
