One of the final events on the PGA Tour in 2023 takes place in The Bahamas this weekend, as the Hero World Challenge is staged at the Albany Golf Club. This event has been staged annually since 2000, with the worldโs top 20 ranked players involved. It is a huge charity event on the golfing calendar, with proceeds going toward the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Players involved will be looking to win their share of the $3.5 million purse, with the course covering a total distance of 7,414 yards. The event is a par 72 course, with the action taking place annually in December. Jordan Spieth holds the tournament record, as the American finished with an aggregate score of 262 and 26-under when landing success in 2014.

However, the betting for the event this weekend is dominated by the player who has reigned supreme in The Bahamas in each of the previous two editions. Viktor Hovland will be looking to become the first player to win the event in three consecutive editions after winning by a two-shot margin from Scottie Scheffler in 2022.
Scheffler has finished as the runner-up in each of the last two years, and he is also among the leading contenders at the current odds available. Other players who have fine records at this event include Tony Finau, who finished second by four shots behind Jon Rahm in 2018. Tiger Woods will also be in action for the first time in well over six months this weekend, as he chases a sixth victory in the Hero World Challenge.
Hero World Challenge Prediction
It may not have been the season that Justin Thomas would have been hoping for, but he could sign off on a positive note this weekend. Thomas has an excellent record at this event after finishing in the top five in each of his previous three appearances. He could be worth taking a chance on this weekend.
