Event Preview
All eyes will be on the second major of the golf season this weekend, as the 105th PGA Championship takes place. The event will be staged at Oak Hill Country Club, which will see the players compete across the par-70 course. A number of multiple-time winners will be prominent in the betting, with Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, and Justin Thomas all having landed two victories apiece.
However, the betting will be headed by Jon Rahm. The Spaniard has been in excellent form already this year, as he landed major success just over a month ago at The Masters. The 28-year-old has been excellent throughout the season to this point, having won on four from 12 event appearances.

There is certainly value in the betting for the major. Patrick Cantlay captures the eye, as the second-ranked player on the Tour in terms of driving is currently available at +2000. The American is yet to win this season, but he has enjoyed six top-ten finishes from 12 appearances, and has failed to make the cut just once.
Every golf bettor always has a standout player that they will side with in the majors, and for me, thatโs Tony Finau. The 33-year-old has already won twice on the PGA Tour this season, and has made the cut in all but one of his 14 appearances. He also comes into the event after finishing in a tie for 26th at The Masters, and typically he performs to a high level at the PGA Championship.
PGA Championship 2023 Prediction
The majors are always fun betting events on the PGA Tour, and this weekend will be no different. We will be throwing a few darts at the event, including Finau. Meanwhile, Iโm happy to side with McIlroy winning the PGA Championship for the third time at the current prices, and Max Homa is also too big in price to turn down.
