Event Preview
The Women’s US Open has been staged since 1946, with the event having being organized by the USGA since 1953. This year’s event will take place at Pebble Beach for the first time, with the field competing for their share of $11 million. A total distance of 6,546 yards will be covered by the 156 players involved this weekend, with the event being a par 71 course.
The record aggregate score was set 12 months ago by Minjee Lee, as she finished with a score of 271 at Pine Needles Lodge. However, the par record is held by 1999 champion Juli Inkster, who finished 16-under when winning the Women’s US Open.

Rose Zhang is the commanding favorite at the top of the betting, as the 20-year-old comes into the event in excellent form. She holds the women’s course record at Pebble Beach, as she shot nine-under when landing the Carmel Cup in 2022. She has won one previous event on the LPGA Tour, and comes into this weekend after finishing a career-best eighth at the Women’s PGA Championship.
Jin Young Ko is the second choice in the betting, as the 27-year-old chases a 27th professional victory this weekend. She has won two majors during her career, which included success at the Evian Championship in 2019. Nelly Korda appears to be the most realistic U.S. contender this weekend, as the 24-year-old will be looking to better her finish in a tie for eighth last year.
Women’s US Open Prediction
Zhang looks very challenging to oppose this weekend, as she has already impressed at the course, and looks to be the rising star on the LPGA Tour. We also like the chances of Leona Maguire at Pebble Beach, as we expect her to thrive in testing coastal conditions.
