Event Preview
The Wyndham Championship is the action on the PGA Tour this weekend, as the field of players will be competing for their share of the $7.6 million purse. This event was founded in 1938, but a change in the schedule was the event moved from April to later in the season. Henrik Stenson and J. T. Poston hold the joint-record for best aggregate score, with both stars finishing on 258. However, the par record was set by Jesper Parnevik in 1999, as he finished 23-under.
There is a very competitive feel to the event this weekend, with the betting headed by Russell Henley. The 34-year-old will be looking to bounce back after failing to make the cut at The Open on his previous appearance, but he remains in solid form after finishing in the top 20 in both the U.S. Open and Travelers Championship.

Hideki Matsuyama remains an incredibly talented star on the PGA Tour, and there were signs of a recovery on his previous effort, as he finished in a tie for 30th at the 3M Open. That was an excellent return to action after finishing in the top 20 at The Open in Liverpool in late July.
There is certainly value in the betting this weekend, and one player that could be hard to ignore is J.T. Poston. The American won this event in 2019 with a stunning aggregate score, and he could be primed for a strong appearance once again. Shane Lowry could also be an intriguing selection after recent struggles, and he presents value at +3000.
Wyndham Championship Prediction
There is certainly reason to side with a few outsiders in the betting this weekend. Firstly, we like Billy Horschel, who claimed a respectable 13th at the 3M Open last weekend. He looked strong in that event, and a renewed effort could be likely. At a bigger price, Adam Hadwin could be a player to keep on side.
