Event Preview
The ZOZO Championship will see the competitive action on the PGA Tour move to Japan this weekend. A field of 78 players will be involved at the event, with the top 60 players from the previous seasonโs FedEx Cup standings among the players involved. The remaining players will be made up based on the Japan Golf Tour money list, as well as the top three players from the Bridgestone Open.
This event will be played at Narashino Country Club, with the field competing over 7,041 yards at the par 70 event. Keegan Bradley was the most recent winner of the event, as he finished a shot clear of both Rickie Fowler and Andrew Putnam last year. Tiger Woods holds the aggregate record, after finishing with a score of 261 in 2019.

Hideki Matsuyama appears to be a solid selection this weekend, as the Japanese star will have home field advantage as he chases a second win at the event. Matsuyama landed a maiden victory by five shots in 2021, while he was also second at the event in 2019, finishing three shots behind Tiger Woods.
Xander Schauffele is the main contender at the top of the betting, as the American chases an eleventh professional win. He will be competing in his 23rd event of the season, and he has made the cut on all previous appearances. That includes eleven finishes in the top ten, and two runner-up finishes.
ZOZO Championship Prediction
With the majority of the market leaders struggling for victories, it could be worth taking a chance on a lively outsider this weekend. Min Woo Lee could be a primary chance. He enjoyed a solid end to the season last year after finishing in the top five in six events between October and December. He could showcase that end-of-season form once again this weekend.
