Race Preview

One of the most competitive races on the card on Breeders’ Cup Saturday comes in the form of the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf. This race will see a field of 12 go to post, with the betting currently headed by Inspiral. Frankie Dettori will take the ride on the four-year-old, who has won on each of her previous two starts.

The latest of her wins was secured at Newmarket over a mile when landing the G1 Sun Chariot Stakes by over three lengths. One of the biggest questions hanging around her chances this weekend is how she will deal with the step up in distance.

Warm Heart is a runner that will have no issues with the trip this weekend, as she was last seen winning a competitive renewal of the G1 Prix Vermeille over a mile and four. The three-year-old drops back in trip this weekend, but that should be an issue based on her battling win in the stakes company at Newbury in May.

In Italian still boasts a lot of positives for Chad Brown, but the leading American chance in this race could come in the form of Fev Rover. The Mark Casse-runner looked excellent at Woodbine last month, as she got the better of the highly-regarded With The Moonlight to win the G1 E. P. Taylor Stakes by over two lengths.

Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf Prediction

Warm Heart will be our main play in this race for the team of Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore. Fev Rover looks a strong chance to compete for a place, while Didia and McKulick also both boast excellent quality and could offer value in exotics this weekend.
