Race Preview
A significant weekend of Kentucky Derby preps is set for this weekend, with one of the most interesting being staged at Gulfstream Park. The Holy Bull is a Grade 3 contest, with a total distance of 1 1/16 miles being covered on the dirt. It has been a significant race for producing Classic winners, with Go For Gin and Barbaro both winning the Holy Bull before landing success at Churchill Downs.
Todd Pletcher previously won this race in 2018 with Audible, and he holds very strong claims this weekend with the returning Fierceness. The three-year-old should be very challenging to beat this weekend, as he is clear on official ratings. He ended last season in excellent form after landing the Breedersâ Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita, scoring a speed rating of 106 in the process. If at the same level, he is the obvious winner this weekend.

A number of the contenders were previously seen in the Mucho Macho Man Stakes, with Inveigled, Sea Streak, and No More Time all finishing behind Otello. The Christophe Clement winner is up in grade this weekend, but he was impressive when running clear of the field over a mile at Gulfstream Park at the start of January.
Domestic Product could be the only other serious contender for trainer Chad Brown. Conditions went against him on his previous start, as he faded to finish seventh in the G2 Remsen Stakes in muddy conditions. But, he was a winner over further when breaking his maiden at Belmont at the Big A in October, and he continues to deserve respect.
Holy Bull Stakes Prediction
Fierceness looks incredibly challenging to overlook this weekend, and the Juvenile winner looks a solid bet to lead Domestic Product and Otello home this weekend.
