Race Preview
The Remsen Stakes could offer some early clues for next year’s Kentucky Derby, and it should be a fascinating contest at Aqueduct this weekend. The race will be staged across 1 1/8 miles, with horses aged two able to enter. Mo Donegal landed victory in this race in 2021, before landing Belmont Stakes glory in the following season.
Moonlight is an obvious place to start this weekend, with Irad Ortiz taking the ride on the Todd Pletcher runner. The two-year-old came of age at Aqueduct in a maiden special weight in late September, scoring a speed rating of 88. He set the same figure when coming a close second in the G3 Street Sense Stakes in October, and a strong bid is likely this weekend.

Chad Brown has enjoyed another excellent season on-track, and he could have an interesting contender this weekend in the form of Sierra Leone. The two-year-old steps into graded company for the first time this weekend after winning on debut at Aqueduct in early November. A quick speed rating of 87 was set, and further improvement could be likely this weekend.
Where’s Chris could be an excellent value selection for trainer Richard Dutrow Jr this weekend after previously landed stakes success at Aqueduct in the Nashua. That win reached a high speed rating of 96, and he will likely be a prominent speed angle once again this weekend despite carrying a penalty.
Remsen Stakes Prediction
This looks set to be an interesting affair this weekend. Chad Brown could hold the Aces in the pack, as well like the chances of Sierra Leone. However, Domestic Product would be our main win play, as we fully expect the two-year-old to come on from his recent win at Aqueduct in a maiden special weight where he scored a speed figure of 85.
