Jose Trevino has been a key player for the Yankees since joining their team last season. In addition to winning the 2022 Platinum Glove for Catchers, Trevino has had surprisingly strong offensive play. He’s been especially hot at the plate lately, going 6 for 18 (.333) over the last week. He’ll face a tough opposing pitcher in Shane Bieber, but I like his chances of getting at least one hit before the game has concluded.

Steven Kwan had a fantastic rookie year with the Guardians last season, posting a .298 batting average in 147 games played. He’s off to another strong start this year, hitting .278 with 7 stolen bases through 29 games. Kwan’s position as the leadoff hitter makes his odds of earning RBIs a bit lower, but he’s still picked up 11 this season already. Against a struggling Clarke Schmidt, I see Kwan driving in at least one run here.

Shane Bieber has pitched well this year, posting a 3.11 ERA through 6 starts. He made it through 6 or more innings in 5 of those starts, proving his ability to make it deep into the game. Conversely, Bieber has not earned many strikeouts, getting more than 4 in only 1 start. In each of his last 4 games, Bieber finished with 4 K’s. Against the strikeout prone Yankees, without Aaron Judge, Bieber should surpass that mark.
