Fight Preview

Casual MMA fans remember Impa Kasanganay for the spinning back kick knockout he suffered against Joaquin Buckley in the UFC, which is still considered one of the most spectacular KO wins in the history of the sport. However, this guy is much more than that.

He’s got a real winner mentality, as evident from the fact that he bounced straight back after that loss. He went on to win some fights in the UFC and other promotions before signing a deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in 2023.

Kasanganay won the million-dollar prize after winning last year’s PFL Light Heavyweight tournament. However, after PFL merged with Bellator MMA, he decided to move down to the middleweight division, where his first fight is going to be the one against Johnny Elben at PFL vs. Bellator: Champs.

We’re not sure if that’s a good decision because beating Johhny Eblen is something no one’s ever done. The American mixed martial artist is 14-0, with wins over some really decent opponents. For example, Eblen got ahold of the Bellator Middleweight World Championship in 2022 by beating former UFC fighter Gegard Mousasi.

His first defense was against Anatoly Tokov, a protégé of legendary Fedor Emelianenko. Most recently, Eblen defended his title against Fabian Edwards, the brother of the UFC Welterweight champ Leon Edwards. He beat him by a knockout.

Impa Kasanganay vs. Johhny Eblen Prediction

We can’t see a scenario in which Johhny Eblen doesn’t win against Impa Kasanganay. He’s better than him in all aspects of MMA, not to mention that he’s bigger, with a longer reach, and superior stamina. On top of everything, Eblen is famous for his high fighting IQ, as well as his tendency to go far and beyond for every bout.
