UFC 289 Props

Amanda Nunes vs. Irene Aldana Prop Pick

Irene Aldana is a fantastic striker who lands 5.39 significant strikes per minute in the UFC. Her strikes aren’t very accurate most of the time, but when she hits the opponent, she often puts them to sleep. Yes, we think she’s got the ability to turn the lights off for Amanda Nunes.

However, we do think it’s more likely that Nunes is going to do that to her. What we think is the most likely to happen on Saturday is that “The Lioness” is going to beat Aldana to submission. Sure, it’s not going to be easy to take Aldana to the ground as this girl has a takedown defense of 81%.

Knowing all this, it seems very likely that one of these two will get the job done inside the distance. We think Nunes is more likely to do so, but we wouldn’t be too shocked if Aldana won.

Charles Oliveira vs. Beneil Dariush Prop Pick

Charles Oliveira is the record holder for most finishes in the history of the UFC (19). He’s a former UFC Lightweight champ who’s coming back to the Octagon after getting finished (submission) by Islam Makhachev in October.

He’s fighting Beneil Dariush on June 10, who won each of his last three fights by decision. He’s got a high fight IQ and is very difficult to take down. Plus, he’s got some decent grappling skills, especially when it comes to ground fighting. That said, “Do Bronx” is going to have a very tough job trying to finish him by submission.

We don’t think he’s going to finish Dariush, nor will it go the other way around. Instead, we think the winner of the fight is going to be decided by the judges.

Mike Malott vs. Adam Fugitt Prop Pick

Mike Malott is fighting in front of his own crowd in Canada this Saturday and is determined to keep his 100% finish record. His opponent is a decent wrestler, but even if Fugitt takes him down, we think Malott will survive. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if he submitted him on his TD.

UFC Prop PickOdds
Mike Malott to win by KO, TKO, DQ or submission

Dan Ige vs. Nate Landwehr Prop Pick

Both fighters are incredibly fun to watch, having five Performance of the Night bonuses between them. Actually, both Dan Ige and Nate Landwehr have already won this bonus in 2023.

Ige is seen as the favorite in the eyes of the bookies, and we can only agree. He’s a great fighter with an excellent portfolio, who’s ready to make himself relevant again. The best way to do it is by getting another KO/TKO win. And if he could do it in the first round, he’d almost certainly get another Performance of the Night bonus.

UFC Prop PickOdds
Dan Ige to win by KO/TKO in Round 1

Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Eryk Anders Prop Pick

Both fighters are great striking-wise, each having a knockout-to-win ratio of over 60%. They’re both very tough and aggressive, which is why their fights are always fun to watch.

We’re absolutely sure they’re going to throw everything at each other on Saturday. In such cases, anything can happen, but our UFC 289 prop pick is that this fight will finish quickly.
