UFC 290 Props

Alexander Volkanovski vs. Yair Rodriguez Prop Pick

Yair Rodriguez is a kickboxing genius who also has a fine set of grappling skills. His fights are always fun to watch as heā€™s always going for a finish. So far, heā€™s finished 10 opponents, including The Korean Zombie (with a knee to the head a second before the final bell), B.J. Penn (by a TKO after a barrage of strikes), and Josh Emmett (by submission in the interim title fight).

However, Aleksander Volkanovski is tougher than all of them. This guy is 25-2 overall, with only one loss inside the distance. It happened more than a decade ago when he was just starting his MMA career.

We honestly doubt ā€œEl Panteraā€ can finish him, and weā€™re not sure the other way around will happen either. We do think Volkanovski vs. Rodriguez will go the distance, but a way safer UFC 290 prop bet seems to be ā€œover 4.5 rounds.ā€

UFC Prop BetOdds
Volkanovski vs. Rodriguez: Over 4.5 rounds

Brandon Moreno vs. Alexandre Pantoja Prop Pick

Brandon Moreno is officially the king of the flyweight division after winning the quadriology war with Deiveson Figueiredo. He beat his archrival by TKO last January, thus making it 2-1-1 in the all-time series against ā€œFiggy Smalls.ā€

This Saturday, heā€™s facing another nemesis. His opponent in the UFC 290 co-main event is Alexandre Pantoja, whoā€™s already beaten him twice ā€“ once in season 24 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) in 2016 and once in the UFC in 2018.

Now, ā€œThe Assassin Babyā€ is looking for revenge. And we think heā€™s gonna get it! Not only will he beat Pantoja on July 8, but heā€™s going to do it before the final bell. If it happens, itā€™s gonna be Pantojaā€™s first-ever loss inside the distance, which would be a very suitable payback.

UFC Prop BetOdds
Brandon Moreno wins inside distance

Robert Whittaker vs. Dricus du Plessis Prop Pick

If this was a 5-round fight, Dricus du Plessis would stand a chance to win. But itā€™s not. The UFC Middleweight title eliminator will last for a maximum of 15 minutes, and we think Robert Whittaker will dominate most of the time.

ā€œThe Reaperā€ is way more powerful, as well as faster than his opponent, not to mention that heā€™s also superior skills-wise to du Plessis. Although we do think heā€™s got what it takes to finish his South African rival, we suspect Whittaker might take a more cautious approach, given the importance of the fight.

Thatā€™s why we think the most probable scenario is Whittaker winning by points. If youā€™re still not convinced, you should also know that each of his last six UFC wins happened by decision.

UFC Prop BetOdds
Robert Whittaker to win by unanimous decision

Jalin Turner vs. Dan Hooker Prop Pick

Oddsmakers think Jalin Turner will win this fight, and if heā€™s gonna do it, heā€™ll probably finish his opponent. We, however, canā€™t say weā€™re 100% certain heā€™s going to win. We think Dan Hookerā€™s experience makes him a very dangerous fighter who can upset the odds.

And if heā€™s gonna upset the odds on July 8, heā€™s gonna do it by KO/TKO or submission. Thatā€™s why our UFC prop pick for this fight is that it wonā€™t last for the full three rounds. In fact, our prop pick is that it will last for under 7.5 minutes.

UFC Prop BetOdds
Turner vs. Hooker: under 1.5 rounds

Bo Nickal vs. Tresean Gore Prop Pick

Bo Nickal is one of the best wrestlers in the division, and he also has fists of concrete. The evidence of this is that heā€™s 4-0 in his professional MMA career with three submission wins and one by knockout.

The 27-year-old Dana White Contender Series alumnus is poised to be the next big thing in the UFC, but to reach stardom, he needs to keep on impressing. And thatā€™s why finishing Treasan Gore at UFC 290 is a must for Nickal.

UFC Prop BetOdds
Bo Nickal to win in round 1 by submission
