Fight Preview
Michael “Venom” Page is one of the greatest strikers in the world. Before starting his mixed martial arts career, he was a successful kickboxer who won gold medals at several prestigious competitions.
He doesn’t land too many strikes as you’d expect from an accomplished kickboxer. Instead, he prefers letting the opponent gas out trying to hit him, after which he counter-strikes.
This is the strategy he’s been using throughout his MMA career, and which has brought him significant success – he’s 21-2 overall in MMA.
This strategy could also work great for him on his UFC debut, in which he fights Kevin Holland. Trailblazer is also a fantastic kickboxer, who, unlike Venom, tends to land a huge volume of punches.
For example, in his most recent fight – vs. Jack Della Maddalena – he landed 127 significant strikes. That, however, wasn’t enough for him to win the fight. Instead, he lost by a split decision.
Holland is also a fine grappler, the evidence being that his most recent win happened by submission (vs. Michael Chiesa).
Kevin Holland vs. Michael Page Prediction
Kevin Holland has 12 wins in the UFC. For six of those, he won the Performance of the Night bonus. This guy is fun to watch, but he can sometimes be reckless, which is exactly what Michael Page can take advantage of.

MVP puts his best performances when he’s attacked, which is exactly what we predict for the UFC 299 fight. Holland will be the more aggressive fighter, but Page will fight back ferociously, and perhaps even land a strike that will put Trailblazer to sleep.
