Justin Gaethje vs. Rafael Fiziev Preview
Justin Gaethje’s UFC 313 odds are +140, which seems crazy given the circumstances. He’s had a full camp, while Rafael Fiziev is stepping in on just 10 days’ notice.
Gaethje also won their first fight, a three-round war that earned Fight of the Night honors. It was a close fight, but this time around, Fiziev’s preparation is a major red flag.
The thing is that Fiziev hasn’t fought since September 2023, when he suffered a knee injury against Mateusz Gamrot.
Now, he’s flying in from Thailand – which is 8,000 miles away from Veas – and likely facing a tough weight cut.

To make things worse, it’s Ramadan and he’s a devout Muslim, meaning that he’s fasting during daylight hours. To put it mildly, this isn’t ideal for training, recovery, or a last-minute weight cut.
Justin Gaethje vs. Rafael Fiziev Prediction
The reason why Gaethje is the UFC 313 underdog is that he got put to sleep by Max Holloway in his most recent fight.
It was a nasty KO, but we think he can bounce back. He’d struggle against full-camp Dan Hooker, but against out-of-shape Fiziev, we think he’ll do just fine.
