Fight Preview
Renato Moicano is 17-5-1 overall, landing a huge volume of strikes, which is why it’s surprising that he’s got zero wins by KO/TKO. Instead, his favorite finish method is submission. It’s just the opposite when it comes to Drew Dober, whose record is 27-12-1 with 14 wins by KO/TKO.
Moicano is seen as a slight favorite, which is no surprise given that he’s a more well-rounded fighter than Dober. He’s a great striker whose No. 1 weapon is wrestling/grappling. The evidence is that 10 of his 17 wins happened by submission, including each of his last five wins in the UFC.
If he’s going to win on February 3, he needs to take Dober down. This shouldn’t be too much of a problem, given that Dober’s takedown defense is just 56%. However, this guy hasn’t suffered a single TD since his fight with Rafael Alves in 2022, and even in that fight, he managed to get up and finish the opponent by a TKO.
Renato Moicano vs. Drew Dober Prediction
Drew Dober is a fantastic striker, but we’re not sure he can out-strike Renato Moicano. The Brazilian fighter is a tough guy whose strongest weapon is grappling. We think he’ll find a way to beat Dober by submission.
