Fight Preview

Jack Hermansson is 23-8 overall, with practically all of his losses happening against real legends of the middleweight division – Sean Strickland, Roman Dolidze, Jared Cannonier, Marvin Vettori, and so on.

When it comes to his wins, his most recent win happened against Christ Curtis in the summer of 2022. It happened by decision, the same as his win over Edmen Shahbazyan a year earlier. The last time he finished someone was in 2020 when he beat Kelvin Gastelum by submission.

This, however, isn’t his favorite method. Instead, he loves winning by KO/TKO, which is something he’s done 11 times so far.

His next opponent Joseph Pyfer is also famous for powerful strikes. He’s 12-2 overall, with eight wins happening by KO/TKO. He also claims his punch is more powerful than Francis Ngannou’s.

Plus, this guy is in great form, winning his last five fights inside the distance. His run started after losing by TKO in Dana White’s Contender Series after suffering an elbow injury.

Still, unlike Hermansson, Pyfer hasn’t fought too many elite middleweights. But if he wins on February 10, he’ll take his career to a whole new level. So, can he pull it off?

Jack Hermansson vs. Joe Pyfer Prediction

Betting odds favor Pyfer to win on February 10, but we think bookies are wrong. Our pick is Hermansson, who’s got more power than his opponent, not to mention that he’s got plenty of experience fighting big bouts, which isn’t something Pyfer can brag about.
