Last week we did great picking the underdog in the Vettori vs. Dolidze 2 fight. Should we do the same for the Edwards vs. Brady fight?

Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady Preview
Leon Edwards is a former UFC Welterweight champion, yet sportsbooks see him as the underdog with UFC London odds of +145. The probable reason is that his last fight, against Belal Muhammad, didn’t go his way, ending in a unanimous decision loss.
The reason he lost? Wrestling. Muhammad took him down nine times, the most Edwards has ever allowed in a single fight.
This, however, doesn’t mean he can’t do well against good wrestlers. He’s beaten many such fighters before – Colby Covington, Kamaru Usman, and Gunnar Nelson – which is proof that his takedown defense isn’t as weak as it seemed that night.
A win on March 22 would put him right back in the title picture. But that’s easier said than done as he’s locking horns with Sean Brady, who’s 17-1, with his only loss also coming against Belal Muhammad.
A black belt under Daniel Gracie, his bread and butter is grappling. He averages 3.5 takedowns per 15 minutes. Plus, this guy had a total of 12 TDs in his last two fights.
His submission game is lethal, but he can also strike at a high volume. However, there’s a catch – Brady hasn’t fought someone at Edwards’ striking level before.
Most of his wins came against fighters past their prime, including Gilbert Burns, who was on a two-fight skid before losing to Brady.
Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady Prediction
Belal Muhammed has laid out the blueprint for defeating Leon Edwards. Sean Brady knows this and will try to land as many TDs as possible at The O2 Arena.
But Edwards is aware of this as well. His takedown defense isn’t perfect, but he’s capable of adjusting mid-fight and using his striking to keep opponents at bay. He also has five-round cardio, whereas Brady hasn’t fought at this level of competition yet.
For all these reasons, we’re pretty confident that Edwards will win, either by a late stoppage (KO/TKO) or unanimous decision.
