Fight Preview
Moreno’s TKO win over Royval in 2020 is what opened the door for him to the UFC Flyweight Championship. He got to fight Deiveson Figueiredo for the title just three weeks after the Royval fight.
It ended in a majority draw, so the two fought again the following year. This time, Moreno beat Figueiredo by submission. Next, he lost the title to the same opponent in 2022. The same year, he became an interim champ by beating Kai Kara-France.
Moreno fought Figueiredo again in 2023 and won back his title by a TKO. Unfortunately for him, he lost it again in the summer. This time, he lost to Alexandre Pantoja by a split decision.
If he’s going to fight for the title again, he needs to remove Royval out of equation in the UFC Mexico main event. He did it once before, but maybe now it’s time for Royval to exact his revenge?
