Fight Preview
Andrei Arlovski is 34-23-1 in his professional career, which started back in 1999. He joined the UFC in 2000 and went on to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2005.
He lost the title in 2006, and a few years later, he decided to move away from the UFC, fighting in such promotions as Affliction (where he fought Fedor Emelianenko), ONE FC, and others.
Then, in 2014, he decided to come back to the UFC. However, his second stint in Dana White’s promotion has been nowhere near as successful as the first one. Now, at the age of 44, he’s trying to end his two-fight losing streak. The bad news for him and his fans is that bookies think he’s gonna get mauled by his opponent.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta is 12 years younger than him and has been in great form. He’s 10-1 overall, with his only loss happening by decision against Marcos Rogério de Lima. Although he hasn’t fought against too many legends of the sport, we did see him beat Chase Sherman and Jared Vanderaa.
Andrei Arlovski vs. Waldo Cortes-Acosta Prediction
Waldo Cortes-Acosta has much better stamina than Andrei Arlovski who’s turning 45 in February. He’s quicker, more agile, and probably even more confident than the Belarus fighter. That’s why anything but a win inside the distance for Cortes-Acosta would be a huge surprise.
