Event Preview
The Food City Dirt Race has been a regular stop on the NASCAR schedule since 1961. However, it has only been run on the dirt layout since the 2021 edition. Drivers will complete a race distance of 133.25 miles, which is made up of 250 laps. Each of the opening two stages will consist of 100 laps, with the final stage comprising of 50 laps.
Since moving to the dirt, there have been two different winners of the race. Joey Logano landed victory in the 2021 edition for Team Penske, before Kyle Busch landed a third victory in five years in the race for Joe Gibbs Racing 12 months ago.

Kyle Larson heads the betting for the event this weekend. The former champion has rediscovered his form over recent weeks, as he has finished in the top ten in three of the last five races. He also claimed a first race win of the season last weekend, as he came out on top in the Toyota Owners 400.
Alex Bowman remains at the top of the Driversโ Championship standings, as he has finished in the top ten in all but one of the races this season. Christopher Bell could be another leading contender this weekend, as he finished fourth last weekend to claim a fourth top-five finish of the season.
