Event Preview
Excitement levels are always high ahead of the Crown Jewel races on the NASCAR calendar, and that will be no different this year. The GEICO 500 will see drivers compete a total race distance of 500 miles, with the first two stages both being made up of 60 laps apiece. The final stage will see the remaining 68 laps complete.
Brad Keselowski is among the leading contenders for a first race win this season. He has an excellent record in this event, as he is tied for the most victories alongside Jeff Gordon, with both drivers recording four victories. However, Ross Chastain is the defending champion, having claimed a dominant success at Talladega Superspeedway 12 months ago.

Kyle Larson will come into the race this weekend in good form, as he landed a second race win in three starts in the NOCO 400 last weekend. That success means that he now sits fourth in the overall standings. Christopher Bell remains top of the standings, despite only finishing 16th in the race last weekend.
Martin Truex Jr could be a driver worth keeping an eye on this weekend, as he has been incredibly consistent throughout the season to this point. He finished third last weekend, which was his sixth top-15 finish of the campaign.
