Event Preview
There is a slight pause in the competitive NASCAR Cup Series action this weekend, as the NASCAR All-Star Race takes center stage at North Wilkesboro Speedway. There will be no championship points up for grabs this weekend, but it will still be a hugely competitive affair in North Carolina.
The All-Star race has been a regular part of the NASCAR schedule since being introduced in 1985, where it was formerly known as The Winston. Drivers that are able to take part are made up of previous race winners, series champions, and drivers that were voted into the race as part of the fansโ vote.

Kyle Larson has an excellent record in the event, as he has landed victory on two previous occasions. His most recent success came back in 2021, when the race was staged at Texas Motor Speedway. However, last seasonโs winner was Ryan Blaney, who claimed a dramatic success after the longest edition of the All-Star Race.
Ross Chastain could have a leading chance this weekend, as the current leader in the Driversโ Championship looks for a first victory this season. Despite sitting top of the standings, he is yet to land victory this term. However, he has finished on the podium on three previous occasions, with his best result coming when second in the Wurth 400.
