Event Preview
A dramatic final two weeks of the NASCAR Cup Series schedule lie in wait, beginning on Sunday with the final race of the round of eight. The Xfinity 500 will determine the drivers that remain in the hunt for the championship, with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race being staged at Phoenix Raceway on November 5.
The Xfinity 500 has been staged during every NASCAR season, and it is the oldest active race on the schedule. This race has been staged since 1949, and it sees the field compete over 500 laps. The first two stages both see 130 laps completed, before the remaining 240 laps are contested during the final stage.

Christopher Bell landed victory in the race 12 months ago, while other previous winners in recent editions include Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott, and Kyle Busch. Bell reignited his push for a position in the final four last weekend, as he landed victory in the 4EVER 400. That was his second victory of the season, and it moved him up to second in the Driversโ Standings.
William Byron remains the driver that the field needs to catch, as he extended his advantage by finishing fourth last weekend. The driver has landed six wins this term, and he has finished outside of the top ten on just one occasion since the playoffs got underway. There will be pressure on Kyle Larson this weekend, as he finished 34th, meaning that he sits in the coveted fourth spot.
Xfinity 500 Prediction
A big performance could be on the cards for Tyler Reddick this weekend. He needs a massive result to finish in the top four, but he has been in excellent form after finishing in the top ten in each of the previous three races.
