Event Preview

The YellaWood 500 is the second race in the round of 12 in the NASCAR playoffs, as drivers complete just over 500 miles at Talladega Superspeedway. This race has been a regular stop on the NASCAR calendar, as it was first introduced in 1969. A total of 188 laps will be completed in the race, with the first two stages being made up of 60 laps apiece. The final stage will see the final 68 laps completed.

Dale Earnhardt is the most successful driver in the history of the race, as he landed seven victories throughout his esteemed career. Richard Childress Racing is the most successful team with eight victories, with Chevrolet being the leading manufacturer with 22 victories in the race.

William Byron will come into the weekend as one of the standout drivers, as he landed victory in the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 last weekend. That success saw him move to the top of the standings, with Denny Hamlin and Chris Buescher completing the top three in the current standings.

There will be pressure on a number of drivers at this stage of the season, with Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, and Tyler Reddick all in need of a solid performance this weekend. Blaney could be a standout selection, as he holds a solid record in this race after landing victory in 2019.

YellaWood 500 Prediction

It will be another exciting weekend of NASCAR action, and there will be pressure on a number of drivers. However, we will take a chance on Joey Logano taking victory this weekend, as he has claimed two wins since 2015 in the YellaWood 500.
