By · Updated 1 year ago
  • We’ve got two NBA player props for you for December 16.
  • Will we see Nikola Jokic score 30+ points for the first time in two weeks?
  • Kevin Huerter looks ready to run riot on Utah’s defense tonight.

There are 10 games of the 2023-24 NBA on the program on Saturday, December 16, with the action starting at 6:00 p.m.

Still, it’s the night games that caught our eye, thanks to the fact that they seem great for NBA player props. Keep reading to see which games are those, and which prop bets we’re planning to make today.

Thunder vs. Nuggets

How to Watch

  • When: Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 9:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Ball Arena, Denver, Colorado
  • Channel: NBA League Pass

Game Preview

The Nuggets are 10-1 in Denver in the 2023 NBA season, with their only loss happening to the defensive kings of the league, the Houston Rockets. This evening, Nikola Jokic & Co. are welcoming the Oklahoma City Thunder at Ball Arena, a team that’s not doing great defensively as of late.

The Thunder’s average in the last three games is 128.0 conceded points. Only three other teams have done worse.

This is very bad news for them because Jokic is probably fired up for tonight’s game, wanting to finally break the 30-point mark. The Serbian center hasn’t scored more than 30 in his last five games, which is way too much for one of the main MVP candidates.

NBA Player PropOdds
Nikola Jokic 30+ Points

Jazz vs. Kings

How to Watch

  • When: Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California
  • Channel: NBA TV

Game Preview

Utah is the NBA’s fifth-worst defense in 2023, conceding 119.8 points per game. The Jazz are also the third-worst team in the league when it comes to the number of points allowed on the road, with a 122.8 PPG.

Tonight, they’re playing against the Kings in Sacramento, which seems like bad news for Will Hardy’s men. They lost each of their last three trips to Golden 1 Center, with Sacramento’s guard Kevin Huerter being the points leader in two of those.

We think it’s very likely that he’s going to score a lot of points tonight as well. This goes especially for the fact that Utah’s best player Lauri Markkanen is doubtful for the Jazz at Kings game. Not only is the Finnish player the points leader of the Jazz, but he’s also their defensive rebounds leader, as well as the player with the most steals.

NBA Player PropOdds
Kevin Huerter Over 26.5 Points
