2023-24 NBA Player Props, Breakdown, Odds, and Picks (Dec 17)

By · Updated 1 year ago
  • We’ve got two NBA player props for you for Sunday, December 17, 2023.
  • Does Giannis Antetokounmpo hold the key to outsmarting the NBA’s best defense?
  • Will Kevin Durant wreak havoc on the league’s worst defense?

There are five NBA games on the program this Sunday, with the action kicking off at 3:00 p.m. However, two games scheduled for the evening are the ones that caught our attention – Rockets vs. Bucks and Wizards vs. Suns.

The first of those is interesting because it’s a duel between the NBA’s best defense and a high-scoring team led by an MVP candidate, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The other game is interesting because Phoenix’s Kevin Durant will get a chance to improve his points average against the team that concedes more points than anyone else in the 2023-24 NBA.

Rockets vs. Bucks

Game Preview

The Houston Rockets have the best defense in the league, allowing just 105.1 points per game. Their average in the last three games is even better – 94.0 PPG.

However, we think those numbers are going to change tonight. It’s because the Rockets are playing against the Milwaukee Bucks this evening.

The Bucks are the league’s second offense with 124.2 points scored per game on average. It’s mostly thanks to their best player Giannis Antetokounmpo who is averaging 31.7 points per game.

A couple of days ago, the Greek Freak scored 64 points against the Indiana Pacers, breaking the franchise scoring record along the way.

Wizards vs. Suns

How to Watch

Game Preview

The Washington Wizards are allowing 126.8 points per game, which makes them the worst defense in the league. It’s very unlikely we’ll see them improve that number this evening when they play against the Suns in Phoenix.

The Suns are scoring 115.4 points per game overall, which might not seem too impressive. However, that number was higher only a few weeks ago, but then they entered a kind of bad run when Kevin Durant got injured.

He made his comeback this week and their average has jumped up instantly. In the two games since his return, the Suns scored a total of 234 points, with Durant being responsible for 56 of those.
