Thirteen games of the 2023-24 NBA are scheduled for Saturday, December 23. The NBA will then skip a day before coming back on Christmas. So, if you don’t want to wait until Monday, now is the right time to place some NBA player props.

But which bets should you make? We’re now going to present you with our top prop picks for today.

Lakers vs. Thunder

How to Watch

  • When: Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • Channel: NBA League Pass

Game Preview

Oklahoma City is 18-8 overall and is in great form with seven wins in the last 10 games. Among those wins are those over such heavyweights as the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, and the Dallas Mavericks. Actually, the Thunder have even defeated the Lakers.

It happened on the last day of November at Paycom Center in Oklahoma, where we saw the Thunder blow out the Lakers 133-110.

Oklahoma’s best player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 33 points in that game. That’s no surprise actually because the Canadian guard is averaging 30.7 PPG this season. But can he do even better this time?

The BetUS oddsmakers have set the margin to 33.5 points for Gilgeous-Alexander. Will he score more or less than that? We think more, for several reasons, starting with the fact that tonight’s game is played in Oklahoma.

Further, some of the Lakers’ key men are reportedly struggling with fitness, most notably, LeBron James who’s been very good defensively this season.

NBA Player PropOdds
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 33.5 Points

Cavaliers vs. Bulls

How to Watch

  • When: Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: United Center, Chicago, Illinois
  • Channel: NBA League Pass

Game Preview

The Chicago Bulls are doing great defensively lately. They conceded fewer than 110 points in each of their last three games, all of which they won, by the way.

Now, they’re taking on the NBA’s eighth-worst offense, the Cleveland Cavaliers whose points average is 112.1. The Bulls should be able to keep them to a low number, especially because the Cavaliers’ points leader Donovan Mitchell will be absent tonight due to an illness.

Max Strus is expected to fill his role, but we doubt he’s going to do much. The 27-year-old is averaging 13.9 points per game, with his margin in tonight’s game being set at 19.5 points.

NBA Player PropOdds
Max Strus Under 19.5 Points
