2023-24 NBA Player Props, Breakdown, Odds, and Picks (Dec 28)

By · Updated 1 year ago
  • We’ve got two NBA player props for you for Thursday, December 28.
  • Will NBA’s best defense be able to stop raging Luka Doncic?
  • Are we (finally) going to see a Nikola Jokic triple-double?

Yesterday wasn’t our day when it comes to NBA player props, but we think December 28 is gonna be much better. There are two games that come to our mind for prop bets, namely, Mavericks vs. Timberwolves and Grizzlies vs. Nuggets.

Mavericks vs. Timberwolves

How to Watch

  • When: Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Game Preview

Last night, Luka Doncic scored 39 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers. We thought he was going to do much worse than that. In fact, we predicted that he was gonna go under 36.5 points, but he proved us wrong.

The reason why we thought that isn’t that we’re Luka Doncic haters; it’s that there were some reports that he’s struggling with fitness. Plus, it was his second game in the space of 24 hours. And on top of all that, his team was playing against a team that’s very decent defensively.

Well, all of that is true for tonight’s Mavericks vs. Timberwolves game. Actually, Minnesota has the best defense in the league, conceding just 107.3 points per game. The Timberwolves are even better defensively when it comes to playing at home. They’re allowing just 101.1 PPG at Target Center.

Grizzlies vs. Nuggets

How to Watch

  • When: Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 9:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Ball Arena, Denver, Colorado

Game Preview

The Denver Nuggets are looking for their sixth-straight win and bookies think they’re going to make this plan come true. Not only are the reigning champions in top form, but they’ve also had three days to rest and prepare for tonight’s game with the Memphis Grizzlies.

In their most recent game, they beat the Golden State Warriors 120-114, with Denver’s two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic recording 26 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists.

He was brilliant in that game, but he didn’t record a triple-double. Actually, it’s been a while since he did it the last time – six games ago.

Will we see a Nikola Jokic triple-double tonight? We think so. After all, he did it twice in the last four Grizzlies vs. Nuggets games.
