2023-24 NBA Player Props, Breakdown, Odds, and Picks (Dec 6)

We went 2-for-2 with our NBA player props last night and we sure hope to do the same on Wednesday, December 6.

The regular season of the 2023-24 NBA is back after a break caused by the In-Season tournament. There are 11 games on the program this evening, with two that are taking place in California looking like real bangers.

The games in question are the Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers. We expect both of these to be super exciting, but which NBA layer props do we recommend making? Keep reading to find out!

Prop Pick

Portland is the team that scores the fewest points of all the teams in the 2023-24 NBA, with the Trail Blazers’ PPG being 105.2. Unfortunately, it seems very unlikely they will improve their average by a large margin after tonight’s game.

The thing is that their points leader Jerami Grant is out with a concussion. What this basically means is that the only way the Trail Blazers can get something out of this game is if they produce a real defensive masterclass against Golden State’s three-point expert Steph Curry.  

The good news for Portland’s fans is that the Trail Blazers are currently in the No. 2 spot in the league when it comes to defending against three-point field goals. These guys are only allowing 31.3 points from beyond the three-point line.

If they can stop Curry from scoring too many three-pointers, they will probably be able to keep him way below his points average of 29.1. In fact, we think he will score under 27 points this evening.

Nikola Jokic’s triple-double stats are incredible. Only this season, he’s had eight triple-double performances. Two of those happened in his last three games.

What’s interesting is that even though there have been four Nuggets vs. Clippers games so far in the 2023-24 season, the Serbian center recorded no triple-doubles.

To be fair to him, he played in just two of those, getting very close to a triple-double each time. In one of those games, he needed just one assist to complete a triple-double; in the other, he needed two.

Is it time for Jokic to finally do it? We think it is.
