2023-24 NBA Player Props, Breakdown, Odds, and Picks (Jan 4)

By · Updated 1 year ago
  • We’ve got two NBA player props for you for Thursday, January 4.
  • We think Giannis Antetokounmpo might not score too many points this evening.
  • We predict Nikola Jokic will score more points than Steph Curry tonight.

There are only two NBA games on the program today, but we think that’s more than enough for those who are into player prop bets.

The first of those games is the Milwaukee Bucks vs. San Antonio Spurs game in which the league’s tallest player Victor Wembanyama will try to stop one of the NBA’s highest-scoring players, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The other game will see two 2024 NBA MVP hopefuls, Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors) compete to see who’s gonna score more.

Game Preview

Last night, the Bucks lost 142-130 to the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis. Then, they’ve flown to San Antonio where they’re supposed to play against the Spurs this evening.

In the Indiana game, Milwaukee’s best player Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 26 points. Not too bad, you might think, but keep in mind that his team played against the NBA’s second-worst defense.

This evening, the Bucks are playing against a team that’s better defensively than their previous opponent, so we might see the Greek Freak struggle to get anywhere near his season average of 30.8.

This goes especially because the Spurs have a joker up their sleeve in the form of French teenager Victor Wembanyama who’s been doing great defensively as of lately.

NBA Pleyer PropOdds
Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 34.5 Points

Nuggets vs. Warriors

Game Preview

Who’s gonna score more tonight, Nikola Jokic or Steph Curry? Based on odds, it should be the Golden State Warriors three-point field-goal king.

However, Denver’s talisman is hungry for points. Jokic hasn’t scored more than 30 in his last five games, and in his only game of 2024, we saw him score just 13.

That’s way too low a number for one of the main favorites to win the 2024 MVP award. Jokic needs to step up tonight and score way more than usual.
