The Toronto Raptors are allowing just 107.4 points per game, which makes them the fifth-best defense in the 2023-24 NBA. This is particularly impressive considering that in the seven games they’ve played so far this season, they faced some really high-scoring opponents.
For instance, they held the Joel Embiid-led Philadelphia 76ers to 114 points on two occasions already. They also allowed only 111 points to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, with the Greek Freak scoring just 16 points.
The Raptors are obviously very good defensively, but are they good enough to stop the NBA’s scoring leader Luka Doncic from scoring over 28.5 points? That’s the margin set for this player prop at BetUS Sportsbook.
The No. 1 MVP favorite is averaging 31.6 PPG on the season, but he went under that number in three of Dallas’s last four games.
Plus, his points average in the games with the Raptors is 27.2. In their most recent duel, however, he scored just 24.

The second-highest-scoring player of the Denver Nuggets – Jamal Murray (16.3 PPG) – won’t play tonight due to an injury. Still, this doesn’t seem to worry Michael Malone’s boys as their highest-scoring player Nikola Jokic (28.4 PPG) is 100% fit.
The Serbian player has been scoring a lot since the start of the 2023-24 NBA season, but this evening, he’ll have to do even better. The thing is that he and the Nuggets are welcoming the Golden State Warriors at Ball Arena, which is a team that scores a lot of points, particularly from the three-point line.
The Warriors don’t care much about the defense, which will give Jokic space to shoot often, so we will probably see the center get a couple of three-pointers on his own.
He’s no stranger to scoring from a distance. This season, he’s averaging 1.5 three-point field goals per game. Our Golden State vs. Denver prop pick is that he’s gonna do better than usual this evening.
