Game Preview
Dallas Mavericks are without all of their centers. Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Liverly II won’t be available to play, while Dwight Powell is still questionable. This will be a huge problem for head coach Jason Kidd, whose guys lost to the Warriors 126-102 in their last game.
That was noticeable against Golden State, who dominate the glass, having 54 boards, 14 more than the Mavs. Apart from Kyrie with 17 points there weren’t any players worth mentioning in Dallas.
Los Angeles Lakers beat the NBA odds in Denver, coming back home with a win. It was 123-100 for the LAL, who completely shut down the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic in Ball Arena.
The Lakers shot 50% from the field and had only nine turnovers, compared to 20 the Nuggets posted. Also, the purple and gold had four players with 20+ points, with Luka leading the way scoring 32 and having 10 boards. LBJ had 25, Austin Reaves 23, and Rui Hachimura 21.
