Game Preview
Houston responded well following an opening defeat. They bounced back with a 109-94, strongly controlling the pace of the game from the tip-off until the end. Of course, this was partially because the Warriors lost Butler.
Yet, the way Jalen Green played, even if the Warriors were complete, the result would probably stay the same. He had 38 points, hit 8 threes, and collected six assists. Meanwhile, Alperen Sengun had 17 points and 16 boards.
The Warriors had only 33 boards in this game, possibly the biggest reason for their loss, aside from what happened with Butler. They allowed the rivals to collect 47 on the other side, and you can’t win the game in the playoffs with that.
