Picks
New York got an absolutely crucial win in Game 5 at home, surviving elimination for one more game. Up next, they’ll need to find a way to win in Miami in Game 6, after losing both of their previous road games in this series. The Knicks continue to field multiple injuries, but got some meaningful performances in their Game 5 win. Jalen Brunson was especially impactful, finishing with 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
The Heat were unable to close the series out in Game 5, but have a key opportunity once again in Game 6. After dominating the Knicks in both of their previous home games this series, this will be Miami’s best chance to complete the series win, with a potential Game 7 being back in New York. No Heat player reached 20 points in the Game 5 loss, with Jimmy Butler leading the way with 19 points and 9 assists.
Picks
I’m tempted to pick another Knicks surprise win here, after they played much better on offense in Game 5. That being said, they can’t expect the Heat to shoot as poorly as they did on Wednesday once again, and will face the hostility of the Miami home crowd. I could see this game being close, but in all likelihood, the Heat should pull away by around 10 points early on and never look back, winning the game and series.
