They continue to surprise many people, heating up at the ideal time after nearly missing the playoffs entirely. The Lakers have a solid chance of making the Finals once again thanks to the presence of LeBron James, who racked up 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in Game 4. His experience against the Warriors has been crucial.
The Warriors find themselves in a hole after their Game 4 loss, now needing 3 consecutive wins to stay alive. Fortunately, they have the benefit of being the higher seed, giving them a home game in 2 of the 3 potential remaining matchups. In Game 5, Golden State needs to win at home to stay alive, before eventually needing a road win in Game 6 to force Game 7. They’ll need Steph Curry to be at his very best.

Everyone has been quick to point out Golden State’s history against LeBron, most notably when the Warriors blew a 3-1 series lead in the 2016 NBA Finals with their record-setting 73-9 record. This time around, they’ll need to get revenge for that by overcoming a 3-1 series deficit of their own. While it’s not impossible, I don’t love their odds. However, at home in Game 5, I see the Warriors getting one more win.
