Cavaliers’ offense was once again at the expected level, dropping 121 points in the first two games against the Heat. They were among the best in the NBA during the regular part of the year and kept the same pace.
Donovan Mitchell scored 30 buckets in each of the opening events, being highly dangerous for the Heat defense. Evan Mobley was solid in the Game 2 win with 20 buckets and 6 boards, while Darius Gardlans scored 21 and had 9 assists. The Cavs won this event 121-112.
Tyler Herro gave everything he had in Game 2, scoring 33 points, but that wasn’t enough for his Heat to do anything notable. Bam Adebayo was stopped, and Miami’s big man ended the night with only 11 points. He did miss a triple-double by one assist, racking 14 boards along the way.
