Game Preview
The Hawks moved on from Nate McMillan and brought in Quin Snyder midseason and still finished above .500. Now, they finish three games behind the Heat but have a chance to claim the 7-seed with a victory.
The Hawks have gone 1-3 against the Heat this season, so there are a lot of reasons to want to roll with Miami. However, the Hawks finished the year 3-2 and got a chance to rest their stars down the stretch.
The Hawks are 3rd in the NBA with 118 PPG and Trae Young leads the way with 26.2 PPG as Dejounte Murray had 20.5 PPG.

The Heat have won four of the last five games and have a ton of momentum and home-court advantage in the newly-name Kaseya Center. The Heat offense isn’t the calling card — they rank 30th in the NBA with 109 PPG.
However, the Heat scored 117 and 130 points in the previous two games against the Hawks, so the offense has been clicking against them.
Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro all average more than 20 PPG and make for a tough out for the other teams.
Prediction
This could be the best Play-In game of them all, and to be frank, it could go either way. The Heat are favorites and are playing at home. On the other hand, the Hawks offense can go off any game, and Trae Young scored 30-plus as Atlanta sneaks out with a close win on the road in a bit of a stunner.
