The NBA playoffs continue today, but there’s just one game on the program this evening. Still, it’s a big one – the first game of the Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets Western Conference Semifinals.
It’s played at Ball Arena in Denver, which is where the Nuggets are 5-0 in April. In their most recent home game, the Nuggets saw their superstar Nikola Jokic record a triple-double. Should we expect the same from the Serbian tonight as well?

Prop Pick
The reigning NBA MVP has had a fine season that was marked by a huge number of triple-doubles. Huge even by Jokic’s standards. In the regular season, he recorded 29 of them, while since the start of the playoffs, we saw the Serbian center record two of them.
Bear in mind that he missed one postseason game due to an injury, while on his comeback, he spent 28:29 minutes on the court, while his average in the regular season was 33 minutes. Further, there was one game when he didn’t record a triple-double, but he scored 43 points.
Still, the No. 1 reason why we didn’t see him record even more triple-doubles in the playoffs is that his team’s first opponent was Minnesota, one of the NBA’s finest defenses. The Nuggets are now taking on the Suns, whose strongest weapon is offense rather than defense.

The last time these two met at Denver’s Ball Arena, Jokic missed a triple-double by just one assist – he recorded 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 9 assists. This time, we think he’ll score double figures for each of those categories.
