Preview
Alabama’s winning ways continued in a thrilling overtime victory against Florida. They improved to 13-2 over their last 15 games, and continue to rise in the metrics. The Crimson Tide currently project as a 3-seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, but could potentially climb to a 2-seed if they win this game. Alabama’s offense has been truly sensational. They’ve averaged 97 ppg through their last 7 matchups.
Kentucky continues to play an at inconsistent level, watching their projected seed line fall quite a bit in the past month. They’ve gone just 6-6 over their last 12 games, but picked up a double-digit road victory over Auburn in their most recent win. The Wildcats will aim to add another ranked win to their total in this game against Alabama. They will be relying on Senior G Antonio Reeves to continue leading the way on offense.
Prediction
This should be an excellent matchup between two of the SEC’s top teams. Alabama has certainly been the hotter team as of late, but will face an uphill battle attempting to win on the road at Rupp Arena. It will be very difficult to pull, but I do ultimately see the Crimson Tide coming away with a huge road upset victory.
NCAAB Picks:
- Alabama 91, Kentucky 85 )
