Preview
Colorado picked up their 6th straight win on Sunday, climbing to 11-2 on the season. They’ve been one of the Pac-12’s best surprises this season. The Buffaloes are 5-0 since losing superstar Cody Williams to a wrist injury, including a 27-point win over #15 Miami. They are expected to get Williams back in the next week, which could make them the clear #2 team in the Pac-12, or even #1 if they pull off the upset here.
Arizona has cooled off considerably since their 8-0 start that saw them rise to #1 in the country. They’ve gone just 2-3 since then, though two of those losses came against ranked teams in Purdue and FAU. The most concerning loss was the most recent one against 6-6 Stanford. The Wildcats have had some issues on defense as of late, and will aim to get back on track against a dangerous Colorado team in this game.
Prediction
With Arizona’s recent struggles, Colorado may have a solid chance to pull off the upset here. That being said, they will be tasked with keeping up with a stupendous Arizona offense, while still being without Cody Williams. I expect this game to come down to the wire, but I would be a bit surprised if the Wildcats allow themselves to lose two straight unranked games. I see Arizona winning here, but not covering the spread.
