Before then, they have a key test against a surging Ohio State team. Indiana will be tested by the Buckeyes defense, but the presence of Mackenzie Holmes in the paint should soften the impact. Ohio State picked up their 9th straight win, improving to 9-1 in conference play. They currently sit in a 3-way tie for 1st place with Iowa and Indiana. After picking up an incredible upset win against Iowa during their win streak, the Buckeyes will now set their sights on Indiana. They have the opportunity to claim the outright top spot in the Big-10 with a win. Ohio State’s relentless full-court press is their premier asset.
Prediction
This should be a very competitive game between the two best Big-10 teams without Caitlin Clark on their roster. Indiana has a force in the paint with Mackenzie Holmes, who brings some of the best experience and basketball ability in the conference. Meanwhile, Ohio State has an absolutely suffocating defense. If Holmes gets in foul trouble early, this game will be even tougher for Indiana. I’ll take Ohio State at home.
