- Kansas came up a bit short against BYU at home, losing by a score of 76-68.
- Baylor bounced back defensively on Monday, defeating TCU 62-54 on the road.
- These two teams last faced off on February 10, in a game that Kansas won 64-61.
Selection Sunday is just a few weeks away! Let’s look at this matchup between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Baylor Bears. Both of these teams have traded wins and losses in a brutally tough Big-12 conference.
How to Watch

Preview
Kansas has gone 3-3 in their last 6 games, hanging right on the border of the 2-seed and 3-seed line in the projected NCAA Tournament field. They find themselves in an unfamiliar position, sitting three games out of 1st place as the regular season draws to a close. The Jayhawks are still in excellent shape to make a deep tournament run, but could certainly benefit from gaining momentum before the conference tourney.
Baylor snapped a mini two-game losing streak with an excellent road win over TCU. The Bears remain safely inside the projected field, and are hoping to better their seed with a win in this game. As the 2021 NCAA Champions, they’ll face a fellow recent champ in Kansas, who won it all in 2022. Baylor nearly came away with a win at Kansas a few weeks ago, and will now get the chance to even the series out at home.
Prediction
The Big-12 has been college basketball’s deepest conference all season, and that continues with this matchup between two of the last three NCAA champions. Both teams are not quite as strong as they were in the seasons where they won it all, but are still more than capable of making a deep run this year. I expect this game to come down to the wire, with Baylor coming away victorious on their own home court.
NCAAB Picks:
- Baylor 73, Kansas 68 (BAY -4.5)
