Preview

Notre Dame bounced back from their loss to Syracuse with a huge 15-point road win over UConn. They rode that momentum into last week’s games against Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh, winning by 37 and 25 points. The Fighting Irish have two more crucial Thursday matchups. They’ll take on #15 Louisville on the road first, and then host #3 NC State a week after. Freshman Hannah Hidalgo continues to be sensational.

Louisville came up short in a tough road matchup against NC State. They’ve lost two in a row on the road against ranked teams, but were competitive in both matchups. Meanwhile, they are undefeated at home this season. The Cardinals will be aiming to continue that in a key top-15 matchup against Notre Dame. They’ll lean on their balanced roster to slow down Hidalgo and give themselves a good chance at winning.

Prediction

This should be another excellent ACC matchup between two highly ranked teams. Louisville should have a notable advantage at home in this game, where they hold an unbeaten record. That being said, Notre Dame has been scorching hot lately, and has really gotten into rhythm. I like the Fighting Irish to win here.

  • Notre Dame 76, Louisville 72 ()
