Preview
Oklahoma was upset by TCU on Wednesday, continuing the pattern of ranked teams losing on the road. The Sooners kept the game close until the final minutes when TCU finally pulled away. They’re in danger of losing two games in a row, with this trip to #3 Kansas up next. Their best chance will be to limit fouls and turnovers, which cost them dearly in the game against TCU and resulted in them taking fewer total shots.
Kansas escaped their game against TCU earlier in the week, following a controversial call in the last minute of the game. They found themselves in similar circumstances against UCF, and were unable to overcome them this time around. The Jayhawks are 1-1 on the road with a -1 point differential, but don’t face a ranked team on the road for another six weeks. For now, they’ll focus on bouncing back against Oklahoma.
Prediction
This should be an excellent matchup between two of the Big-12’s premier squads. Kansas has a major advantage at home, but has struggled lately and is vulnerable even on their home court. That being said, Oklahoma also lost their last game, and will need to be at their very best to overcome Kansas on the road. Ultimately, I see the Jayhawks riding their home-court advantage to a win down the stretch of this game.
